Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic, reliable, organized and dedicated Food Pantry Coordinator to support the daily operations at our Statewide food pantry. This vital role involves managing inventory, coordinating logistics, and working with a team of volunteers to ensure that food assistance reaches those in need efficiently and compassionately. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational skills, food management, and a passion for community service. As the Food Pantry Lead, you'll play a key role in streamlining processes, maintaining safety standards, and fostering a positive environment for both clients and our volunteers. Responsibilities Help supervise daily food pantry operations. Maintain well-stocked, organized, and safe pantry shelves, refrigerators, and freezers. Coordinate daily movement of food from warehouse to pantry floor. Ability to lift and move donated items (50lbs or more) Monitor inventory levels and communicate restocking needs. Ensure proper handling, storage and cleanliness standards. Comfortable working with diverse populations. Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, safety protocols (OSHA compliance), and overall workflow within the pantry Help onboard and train new volunteers. Lead a team of volunteers by providing guidance on pantry needs, safety procedures, and customer service standards. Oversee client information in our software, track client visits and program participation, ensure compliance with eligibility requirements and documentation. Work with Program Lead to do end of year inventory. Other duties as assigned. Mon-Thurs 8:30am-1:30pm Join us in making a meaningful difference by ensuring our community has reliable access to nutritious food.
