Leadership Opportunity Position Overview:
Join our team as a Dining Services Supervisor at the Harford Facility. We are seeking an experienced culinary professional with strong leadership skills to oversee dietary operations in our inpatient treatment facility. This role is perfect for someone passionate about delivering high-quality meals in a healthcare setting while ensuring compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards.
Schedule:
Mon - Fri Day Shift position/ rotating weekends as needed
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and support dietary/kitchen staff, including scheduling, training, and performance management. Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment in compliance with all health codes. Manage food inventory, ordering, and cost control in collaboration with corporate food service leadership. Ensure proper food storage organization and monitor temperatures for all kitchen equipment. Oversee meal preparation and portion control to meet quality and nutritional standards. Coordinate and communicate special dietary needs for patients/clients. Develop menus that meet nutritional guidelines and regulatory standards. Maintain inventory levels and conduct regular audits of supplies and equipment. Support the hiring and onboarding of new kitchen team members. Ensure compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards.
Qualifications:
Prior experience in food service or kitchen supervision, preferably in a healthcare or institutional setting. Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen operations. ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain within one year of hire). Experience with inventory management, budgeting, and scheduling. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
Knowledge of nutritional standards and special diets. Experience in behavioral health, inpatient, or healthcare environments. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and compliance.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 20 lbs as needed. Capable of working in a kitchen environment with standard commercial equipment. Why Join Us?
