The Manager for Luma plays a vital leadership role in ensuring every aspect of our cocktail lounge operates with excellence, efficiency, and a true commitment to outstanding hospitality. Your ability to oversee daily food and beverage operations, guide and develop team members, uphold product and service quality, and maintain seamless coordination between front‑of‑house, bar, and culinary teams directly contributes to delivering an elevated guest experience aligned with the Live! brand. Impact:
Oversee daily lounge operations and ensure smooth execution across all service areas. Manage departmental budgets, cost controls, and operational planning. Oversee ordering and inventory control for food, beverage, and supplies. Lead interviewing, hiring, training, evaluations, and disciplinary counseling. Review staffing levels, delegate responsibilities, and manage scheduling. Enforce sanitation, cleanliness, and safety standards. Ensure compliance with liquor laws, RAMP/ServSafe standards, Responsible Gaming requirements, and State Gaming Agency regulations. Develop and manage programs to reduce and control loss‑time injuries. Extend complimentaries in accordance with the property comp matrix. Meet with directors and managers as necessary. Help You Succeed:
Ability to analyze and interpret restaurant and beverage operational results. Ability to solve complex problems. Knowledge of sanitation laws and health regulations and applicable OSHA regulations. Ability to perform assigned duties under pressure. A variety of tasks and deadlines requires irregular work schedule. Ability to perform in an interruptive office environment. Accuracy in completing assigned duties in a timely manner.
Qualifications Must Haves:
Preferred, three (3) to seven (7) years of experience in restaurant or beverage management and supervision. ServSafe and RAMP certifications required. Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed. Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license as determined by the Maryland State Lottery and Gaming Commission for the position and an Alcohol Beverage Control card any applicable health certificates.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to work long hours. Ability to stand for long periods of times without sitting or leaning. Ability to climb stairs multiple times daily. Ability to handle multi-tasking-heavy work-exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and up to 30 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Ability to climb, bend, stretch, twist or reach with your body and arms. Ability to work under variable temperatures and noise levels.
Working Conditions:
24/7 high energy casino with over 300,000 sq. ft of gaming and entertainment space and approximately 3000 employees. Exposed to alcohol, cigarette and cigar smoke, bright lights, and loud noises. You will work in an environment where smoking is allowed. Willingness and ability to be flexible with work schedule. May require extended hours and work week from time to time.
