Food Services Specialist

Overview:

Caribou Community School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Food Services Specialists to join our Food Services Team. In this vital role, you will help support the daily operations of our kitchen by assisting with food preparation, maintaining a clean and organized work environment, and ensuring students receive nutritious, high-quality meals. This is a great opportunity for someone passionate about food service and eager to learn in a dynamic, fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with food preparation, including washing, chopping, and measuring ingredients. Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste appropriately. Follow all food safety and sanitation standards. Operate kitchen equipment safely and in accordance with established guidelines. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient meal service and appealing food presentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in a kitchen or food service setting is helpful but not required—we're happy to train the right candidate. Basic knowledge of food safety practices is a plus. Positive attitude and ability to work well as part of a team. Strong communication skills and the ability to follow directions. ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain.
