We pride ourselves on our ability to deliver the right product on time with the highest quality of customer service. At Schneider Tire, customer service is an attitude, not a department. Job responsibilities include, but not limited to: Assist the DC Manager in determining staffing levels, assigning teams, and providing clear direction to ensure timely task completion in adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Lead daily team meetings to communicate assignments, schedules, and operational priorities. Train new employees on company policies and SOPs, monitoring ongoing performance in collaboration with the DC Manager. Delegate and oversee the picking and staging of orders for scheduled deliveries, coordinating with prior or incoming shifts as necessary. Manage the loading of delivery trucks, ensuring inventory accuracy, adherence to SOPs, and timely departures. Ensure driver pre-trip, departure, and arrival forms are completed and processes followed. Assign trucks for transfer deliveries, ensuring accurate load weights and coordinating with driver schedules and tablet assignments. Check in and accurately process product returns and adjustments by completing the Driver Check-in Processes. Escalate issues to appropriate leadership or support personnel when necessary. Identify and report process improvement opportunities to the DC Manager, recommending changes to existing procedures or new procedure creation. Work cross-functionally with internal departments to meet operational needs. Fill in as needed to support warehouse operations and delivery drivers. Identify training and development opportunities for team members to improve performance. Motivate, engage, and discipline warehouse employees as needed. Assist in creating bi-weekly schedules and communicate them to employees. Monitor hours worked, review weekly timecards, PTO requests, and attendance records for final approval by the DC Manager.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate's or bachelor's degree in logistics, business, or a related field preferred. Two to three years of warehouse experience required, preferably in a distribution environment. Minimum of one year of supervisory or team lead experience required . Required Skills and Abilities Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including active listening. Strong decision-making, organizational, and time management skills with keen attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills; able to remain professional and courteous at all times. Basic math skills and the ability to apply them in daily tasks. Basic computer skills and willingness to learn and use required software and digital systems (e.g., Google Workspace) Ability to obtain and maintain a chauffeur's license and DOT physical certification. Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team. Ability to multi-task and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.
