The Gallery Supervisor - Breakfast & Banquets is responsible for overseeing daily breakfast operations and supporting the successful execution of hotel banquet and catering events. This position provides hands-on leadership to the Food & Beverage team while ensuring exceptional guest service, consistent Hyatt brand standards, food quality, proper staffing, and compliance with food safety requirements. The ideal candidate is an organized, energetic, and guest-focused leader who enjoys working in a fast-paced hospitality environment and can effectively manage both daily breakfast operations and banquet functions. Key ResponsibilitiesBreakfast Operations Oversee daily breakfast operations and ensure Hyatt brand standards are consistently maintained. Ensure appropriate staffing levels for breakfast service based on occupancy, business levels, and operational needs. Train and onboard all new breakfast associates. Provide ongoing coaching, training, and development to Food & Beverage team members. Monitor food presentation, quality, freshness, and overall guest satisfaction. Oversee breakfast food ordering, preparation, presentation, replenishment, and service delivery. Ensure the breakfast area is clean, organized, properly stocked, and guest-ready throughout service. Monitor guest feedback and address breakfast-related concerns promptly and professionally. Ensure proper opening, service, and closing procedures are followed. Lead by example and maintain a positive, professional presence with both guests and associates. Inventory & Ordering Complete inventory and ordering for breakfast and banquet food items. Complete Gordon Food Service inventory and orders by noon every Monday and Thursday. Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate product is available for breakfast and scheduled events. Identify opportunities to reduce food waste, overproduction, and unnecessary product usage. Submit requests for china, smallware, banquet equipment, and other operational supplies. Complete monthly breakfast food inventory by the 1st of each month. Verify deliveries for accuracy, quality, quantity, and proper storage. Assist with maintaining accurate inventory records and communicating discrepancies to management. Ensure products are properly stored, labeled, dated, and rotated. Banquet Operations Supervise breakfast and banquet events from setup through teardown. Confirm adequate staffing levels for all assigned banquet functions. Review and ensure proper execution of Banquet Event Orders (BEOs). Ensure banquet setups meet event specifications, hotel standards, and guest expectations. Train associates on banquet setup, service execution, guest interaction, and teardown procedures. Ensure allocation forms and consumption sheets are completed accurately. Maintain and update catering recipe cards and banquet order guides. Partner with the Sales & Events Manager on catering menu updates and operational changes. Communicate event details and expectations clearly to Food & Beverage associates. Monitor banquet food presentation, service quality, timing, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction. Address banquet issues in real time and communicate unresolved concerns to the appropriate manager. Food Safety, Cleanliness & FIFO Conduct daily kitchen and Food & Beverage area inspections. Ensure cleanliness and sanitation standards are consistently maintained. Verify required food and equipment temperature logs are completed accurately and on time. Monitor proper FIFO (First In, First Out) practices throughout storage areas.
