Nursing Shift Supervisor

Job Description

The Lutheran Home is hiring a full-time Nursing Shift Supervisor to join our healthcare team. In this leadership role, you will oversee nursing operations during evening and overnight hours , provide clinical guidance and support to staff, and help ensure the highest quality of care for our residents. Guided by our core values of service, excellence, dignity, fulfillment, grace, and stewardship, you will support a culture of compassionate, resident-centered care. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: Ensure proper staffing for each unit, adjusting for call-ins Review complaints filed by staff or residents Assist with medication passes and treatments when needed Function as a clinical resource for all nursing areas Monitor and help defuse emotional situations involving residents, families, visitors, or staff Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility guidelines, policies, and procedures Display role model expectations related to customer service and demonstrate a sense of urgency regarding resident and staff safety Ensure the effective delivery of competent, compassionate, and safe care by monitoring processes and outcomes throughout the healthcare community Provide leadership, coaching, and problem-solving support for nursing staff during assigned hours This is a full-time evening/night position. Scheduled hours will be discussed during the interview process based on the needs of the nursing department. Education and Requirements:
Current unrestricted RN or LPN license in the State of Missouri Minimum of two years of nursing experience Long-term care and/or supervisory experience preferred Current CPR certification About the
