This role helps ensure high-quality food preparation, timely service, cleanliness, and smooth coordination between kitchen and front-of-house teams. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, maintains strong food safety standards, and contributes to an organized and positive workplace culture. Key Responsibilities Assist with daily food preparation including washing, chopping, portioning, labeling, and stocking ingredients Support kitchen operations during meal service to ensure orders are completed accurately and efficiently Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep stations, storage areas, kitchen equipment, and service areas Follow food safety, sanitation, and health department guidelines at all times Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management Receive and organize deliveries, rotate stock, and ensure proper food storage procedures Help streamline kitchen workflows and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency Support opening and closing procedures, including cleaning and equipment checks Collaborate with kitchen staff, service team members, and supervisors to maintain smooth daily operations Assist with catering, special events, or high-volume service periods as needed Qualifications Previous experience in food service, kitchen operations, hospitality, or restaurant environments preferred Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices Strong communication and teamwork skills Dependable, punctual, and adaptable Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds Preferred Skills Experience with commercial kitchen equipment Familiarity with inventory management and kitchen prep systems Food Handler Certification or willingness to obtain certification Ability to maintain consistency and quality under pressure Work Environment Fast-paced kitchen and food service environment Requires standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive tasks Flexible scheduling may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
Pay:
$17.00 - $19.00 per hourBenefits:
