Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced and motivated Kitchen Supervisor to join our growing team. The Kitchen Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily back-of-house operations and ensuring all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality, consistency, and safety. This role requires strong leadership abilities, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for hospitality. The ideal candidate will have experience in casual dining, catering, and food service management, along with the ability to foster strong collaboration between front-of-house and back-of-house teams. Responsibilities Supervise daily kitchen operations while ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation standards. Assist with inventory management, supply ordering, and maintaining appropriate stock levels. Maintain a weekly schedule for back of house staff Coordinate food preparation and cooking activities to ensure efficient and timely service. Lead, mentor, and train kitchen staff in a positive and team-oriented environment. Support menu planning and contribute creative ideas for food offerings. Ensure food quality, presentation, and consistency meet restaurant standards. Assist with catering events, including preparation, logistics, and execution. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment in accordance with health department regulations. Train new team members on kitchen procedures, food handling, and equipment operation. Promote effective communication and teamwork between front-of-house and back-of-house staff. Qualifications & Skills Previous experience supervising kitchen staff in a restaurant or food service environment. Strong knowledge of food preparation, culinary techniques, and kitchen operations. Experience with inventory management and cost control practices. Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members. Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Understanding of food safety regulations and sanitation practices. Passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences. Preferred Experience Casual dining experience preferred. Catering and large-scale food service experience is a plus. Food Handler Certification or equivalent certification preferred.
