We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Catering Team Leader to join our team! In this role, you will be responsible for driving our catering vehicles, setting up and breaking down event sites, and assisting with food preparation and service. As a Catering Team Leader, you will help the catering department to ensure seamless execution of events and provide outstanding customer service to our guests. Responsibilities Catering Sales Answers phones and takes new orders within the restaurant. Documents and communicates future orders to managers. Prepares and stages all packaged items for catering orders. Interacts with catering clients in a professional manner, both in-person and by phone. Maintains the catering spreadsheet tracker and ensures it's up-to-date. Keeps inventory of catering supplies and informs the Director of Logistics of all supply needs. Coordinates with the BOH Director on fulfillment of all catering orders. Makes deliveries as-needed. Establishes relationships/communication with other Team Members. Prepares for the following business day and upcoming week. Assists the in-restaurant operation as needed. Customer Service Provides exceptional customer service to all catering clients. Collaborates with clients to understand their event needs, provide menu recommendations, and aid in customizing their catering orders. Handles all customer inquiries, concerns, or special requests, ensuring every customer has a positive experience. Follows up with select clients to ensure they received an exemplary experience. Event Planning and Coordination Oversees the planning and execution of all catering events. Works closely with clients to determine event requirements such as menu selection, delivery, setup and staffing. Ensures events run smoothly and meet customer expectations. Assists with outside events as-needed. Team Development Leads and manages a team of catering staff, including coordinators, delivery drivers, and event staff. Recruits, trains, and supervises the catering team, ensuring they are knowledgeable about the catering offerings and equipped to provide excellent service. Qualifications Skills & Competencies Previous catering experience preferred A strong desire for excellence Take ownership for mistakes Solve problems and make quick decisions when necessary Be organized, intentional and fulfill 100% of orders on time Plan ahead and see your plan through to completion Driver's license and clean driving record Must have car insurance Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment, up to 50 pounds Excellent customer service and communication skills Strong team player with a positive attitude This position is subject to a background check in order to verify driving record.
