Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Maintenance Group Leader for the 3rd shift to oversee and coordinate maintenance activities within a manufacturing facility. This leadership role involves managing a team of technicians, ensuring the reliability and safety of production equipment, and implementing preventative maintenance strategies. The ideal candidate will possess extensive industrial maintenance experience, technical expertise in electrical and mechanical systems, and strong leadership abilities to drive operational excellence during the overnight shift.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure efficient operations Plan, prioritize, and assign maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and maximize equipment availability Oversee troubleshooting and repair of complex machinery, including hydraulics, HVAC systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and electrical components Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to schedule work orders, track maintenance activities, and analyze equipment performance data Conduct inspections using precision measuring instruments and schematics to diagnose issues accurately Ensure compliance with safety standards related to high voltage, low voltage, and industrial electrician practices Coordinate with production teams to schedule maintenance activities that minimize impact on manufacturing output Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, parts inventory, and equipment history Support technical sales efforts by providing expert advice on machinery capabilities and troubleshooting solutions Assist in developing training programs for team members on new technologies such as SCADA systems or field service procedures
Requirements:
Extensive industrial mechanic experience within a manufacturing facility environment Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by expertise in hydraulics, HVAC/R systems, welding (including <
LOCATION
> welding), and schematics interpretation Proficiency with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), CMMS platforms, ammeters, ohmmeters, and other analysis tools Electrical experience with high voltage and low voltage systems essential for troubleshooting complex electrical issues Demonstrated leadership skills with previous experience managing maintenance teams during night shifts Knowledge of industrial electrician practices and safety protocols related to high-voltage environments Ability to read technical drawings, schematics, and mechanical diagrams fluently Excellent communication skills in English for effective team coordination and documentation Field service experience preferred; military background in technical roles is advantageous Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and welding techniques used in industrial settings If you are a proactive leader with a passion for maintaining manufacturing excellence through technical expertise and team management during the night shift, we encourage you to apply.
