White Duck Taco Shop is opening a new location in South End, Charlotte towards the end of July. We are looking to hire someone who is willing to train at our Matthews location for 2-3 weeks as we prepare to open our new location in late July. Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and motivated FOH (Front of House) Shift Leader to join our dynamic hospitality team. In this pivotal role, you will lead daily front-of-house operations, ensuring exceptional customer service and smooth restaurant flow. Your leadership will inspire staff, uphold food safety standards, and deliver memorable dining experiences. This position offers an exciting opportunity for those passionate about hospitality management, team leadership, and delivering outstanding guest satisfaction. All roles are paid positions, including internships. Responsibilities Supervise front-of-house team members during shifts, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient service delivery Manage customer interactions with professionalism and enthusiasm, resolving issues promptly to enhance guest satisfaction Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, payments, and cash handling with accuracy Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure timely food production, proper food handling, and adherence to food safety protocols Control inventory levels for front-of-house supplies, monitor stock rotation, and assist in ordering when necessary Lead staff training sessions on service procedures, food safety, POS operation, and hospitality best practices Skills Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments with a strong understanding of food preparation and service flow Demonstrated leadership skills in supervising teams within a hospitality or restaurant setting Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient transaction management Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations calmly and effectively Knowledge of food safety management practices and proper food handling procedures Ability to manage shift operations including budgeting, profit & loss analysis, and inventory control Strong communication skills for staff training, team management, interviewing potential team members, and collaborating with other departments Join us to lead a vibrant team dedicated to delivering exceptional dining experiences!
