- Full-time Serves the students attractive and nutritious meals in an atmosphere of efficiency, cleanliness, and friendliness Implements HACCP plan Follows planned menus with occasional substitutions as allowed Observes food preparation and line service to assure quality and proper presentation of food Displays food to reflect school and seasonal activities Orders food and supplies as needed Oversees implementation of daily/weekly work plans Maintains organized and accurate records and reports Provides on-the-job training in equipment use and care, food production and presentation, sanitation, storage, and recordkeeping Evaluates performance of each employee Maintains productive working relationships Recommends hiring and discipline of employees Communicates information as provided by administration Calculates recipe quantities and plans timely food preparation Comprehends directions for use and maintenance of equipment Ensures proper portion control Supervises staff in inventory control Performs duties at special meal functions as needed Provides training appropriate to the development of potential managers Performs other duties as assigned by the
