Job Description

Piper Companies is seeking a CIP Lead (Night Shift) for a long-term contract opportunity supporting the startup and operational ramp-up of a state-of-the-art biologics manufacturing facility in Holly Springs, North Carolina. The CIP Lead (Night Shift) will serve as a frontline leader responsible for driving startup execution, equipment readiness, and operational performance while helping transition newly commissioned systems into routine manufacturing operations. Responsibilities Lead startup, shakedown, and operational readiness efforts for Clean-in-Place (CIP) systems and associated manufacturing utilities. Supervise and coordinate a night shift team of operators and technicians, ensuring safe, compliant, and efficient execution of daily activities. Diagnose and resolve process, equipment, and operational issues that arise during commissioning, startup, and early manufacturing campaigns. Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, validation, quality, and manufacturing groups to support system turnover and operational reliability. Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement through effective communication, coaching, and shift handovers. Qualifications Previous experience in a leadership, supervisor, shift lead, or team lead role within manufacturing, operations, engineering, or a related industrial environment. Hands-on involvement with startup, commissioning, shakedown, facility expansion, or equipment turnover activities. Strong troubleshooting capabilities with process systems, production equipment, and operational workflows. Experience working within regulated industries such as biopharmaceutical, biotechnology, pharmaceutical, chemical, food and beverage, or similar manufacturing environments preferred. Excellent communication and team leadership skills with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments in a fast-paced startup setting.
Compensation Salary Range:
$70/hr - $80/hr
