GENERAL SUMMARY

The Shift Supervisor acts as an extension of the store manager. The duties of the Shift supervisor include opening and closing the store, managing personnel, assisting customers in locating and purchasing of firearms, operating the cash register, stocking merchandise, ensuring store cleanliness, and performing other duties as assigned by the Store Manager to maximize store profitability and customer satisfaction while protecting company assets.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Proficiently and effectively fill out ATF documents and preform background checks. Provide excellent customer service, greet and assist customers. Stock firearms in display cases, stock ammo and accessories. Operate cash register and use system to create work orders. Ensure cleaning duties are carried out, take out trash, dust and mop store floors, clean restrooms, and outside the storefront. Answer customers questions, divert problems, manage staff and make sure breaks and duties are being completed. Open and Close the store.

Qualifications KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS:

Wide range of firearm knowledge. Ability to effectively solve problems. Ability to successfully manage personnel. Effective interpersonal and oral communication skills. Understanding of safety policies and practices involving firearms. Understanding of ATF policies and guidelines. Knowledge of basic cash handling procedures. Basic mathematical skills. Ability to perform cash register functions. Ability to stock merchandise. WORK EXPERIENCE and/or

EDUCATION

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
