In this pivotal role, you will oversee the daily activities of the warehouse team, ensuring efficient inventory management, and adherence to safety standards. Your leadership will drive process improvements, optimize warehouse workflows, and foster a culture of teamwork and accountability. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate all activities on the 3rd shift. Lead and motivate warehouse staff to meet productivity goals while maintaining high safety standards in compliance with OSHA regulations. Manage warehouse management system (WMS) operations to ensure accurate tracking of inventory levels and order fulfillment. Oversee forklift operations and other heavy lifting tasks, ensuring proper training and certification for all team members. Monitor inventory levels through regular cycle counts and audits; implement process improvements to reduce discrepancies. Collaborate with logistics partners, 3PL providers, and internal teams to streamline warehouse distribution processes. Enforce safety protocols related to OSHA standards, mechanical equipment use, and materials handling procedures. Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, address issues, and promote continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain detailed shift reports, incident logs, shipping & receiving documentation, and inventory records using systems such as AS400 or equivalent. Skills Proven experience in warehouse supervision or team management within a distribution or logistics setting. Strong knowledge of inventory management techniques and warehouse distribution processes. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and enterprise resource planning (ERP) software like AS400. Mechanical knowledge related to forklifts, conveyor systems, and other warehouse equipment. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory control and process improvement initiatives. Ability to lead a team effectively while fostering a positive work environment focused on safety and productivity. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards applicable to warehousing operations. Experience with e-commerce fulfillment, shipping & receiving procedures, materials handling, heavy lifting, and 3PL logistics providers.
