4:00pm - 2:30am (Mon-Thurs)
Position Summary:
The Warehouse Lead is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and safety in all activities. This role will coordinate with team members to meet production and shipping schedules, maintain inventory accuracy, and uphold quality standards for our wildlife products.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership:
Supervise and lead warehouse staff in day-to-day activities, including receiving, storing, picking, and shipping products. Assign tasks to team members and ensure completion in a timely and efficient manner. Monitor workflow to maintain productivity and achieve performance goals.
Inventory Management:
Ensure accurate tracking and recording of inventory levels. Perform regular inventory audits and resolve discrepancies promptly. Coordinate with the Warehouse Manager to maintain appropriate stock levels and reorder as needed.
Shipping and Receiving:
Oversee the receiving and inspection of incoming goods to ensure they meet quality standards. Coordinate and verify outgoing shipments to meet delivery schedules and customer requirements. Prepare shipping documents and maintain detailed records.
Quality Control:
Conduct regular inspections of warehouse operations to ensure compliance with company standards. Identify and report any quality issues, working with relevant departments to address them.
Safety and Compliance:
Promote and enforce safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment. Conduct regular safety checks on equipment and report any maintenance needs. Ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
Team Development:
Train and mentor new and existing team members to improve skills and productivity. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Qualifications:
3+ years of warehouse experience, including at least 1 year in a leadership role. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks). Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices.
Working Conditions:
Physical Environment:
This position requires working in a warehouse and/or production environment where temperatures can fluctuate. The facility is generally kept at a moderate temperature, but exposure to warmer or cooler conditions may occur depending on specific areas of the plant.
Noise Levels:
The facility can be noisy due to the operation of machinery and equipment. Hearing protection is required in certain areas to comply with safety standards.
Physical Demands:
The job involves occasional lifting, bending, standing, and walking. Occasionally lift up to 20-40 pounds without assistance.
PPE Requirements:
Proper personal protective equipment (PPE), including gloves, steel-toe boots, hearing protection, and safety glasses, is required at all times when on the production floor.
Hazards:
Employees must be able to work safely around machinery, conveyor systems, and potentially hazardous materials, while strictly adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
Work Pace:
The work environment is fast-paced, requiring the ability to perform repetitive tasks quickly and efficiently while maintaining attention to detail and product quality.
