DINING SERVICES DIRECTOR

Leadership Position Starting Wage:
$34.85-$43.01/hour Are you a food service professional who enjoys leading a team, creating quality dining experiences, and making a meaningful difference in the lives of older adults? Valley Senior Living is seeking a Dining Services Director to lead our Dining Services Department and help ensure that our residents receive safe, nutritious, and enjoyable meals every day. As the Dining Services Director, you will oversee the department's daily operations, including menu implementation, food safety and sanitation, staffing, scheduling, training, budgeting, purchasing, inventory management, quality improvement, and regulatory compliance. You will work closely with residents, families, staff, and dietitians to support individualized dining needs and promote person-centered care.
What You'll Do:
Lead, supervise, and develop the Dining Services team while fostering a positive, supportive work environment. Ensure meals are prepared and served safely, on time, and in accordance with established menus and dietary requirements. Collaborate with dietitians and residents to support individual dietary needs and preferences. Manage department budgets, purchasing, inventory, equipment, and quality improvement efforts. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local food service, sanitation, safety, and healthcare regulations. Most importantly, help create a dining experience that respects each resident's choices, dignity, individuality, and quality of life.
What We're Looking For:
High school diploma or GED At least 2 years of dietary experience in a supervisory role within a hospital, skilled nursing facility, or related medical setting Meets state requirements for food service or dietary managers ServSafe certification Graduate of an accredited dietetics course, a Dietary Technician associate degree program, or a Certified Dietary Manager program Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills A genuine commitment to person-centered care and serving older adults
