This person will set the pace on the line, assign stations and prep priorities, maintain food quality and safety, coach cooks, and step into any station when service requires it.   • Lead kitchen setup, evening service, and closing while working alongside the team.
  • Assign stations and prep priorities based on expected service volume.
  • Maintain recipe, portion, presentation, and ticket-time standards.
  • Train, coach, and give clear direction to line and prep cooks.
  • Monitor food safety, sanitation, labeling, rotation, and waste controls.
  • Help with receiving, inventory counts, and product-quality checks.
  • Communicate shortages, equipment issues, staffing gaps, and service risks early.
  • Step into any station when needed. ### Qualifications
  • Strong recent experience in a professional restaurant kitchen.
  • Previous responsibility for leading shifts, stations, or kitchen teammates.
  • Availability from 2:00 to 9:30 p.m., Wednesday through Sunday.
  • Availability for every weekend and required closing duties.
  • Broad line knowledge and the ability to maintain standards during busy service.
  • Practical understanding of food safety, prep planning, and inventory control.
  • Calm, direct communication and a coaching-oriented leadership style. ### Compensation and benefits
  • $19•22 per hour•, based on relevant leadership and station experience.
  • 35 paid hours guaranteed each week.
  • Mondays and Tuesdays always off.
  • Schedules posted at least two weeks ahead.
