This role is ideal for someone who is energetic, reliable, and guest-focused, and who enjoys a fast-paced hospitality environment. As Shift Lead, you'll guide the front-of-house team and help create exceptional dining experiences — from hosting and bartending to supporting private events. Experience across all three isn't required; leadership and a willingness to pitch in wherever needed matters most. This role is a strong stepping stone toward a Front of House Manager position for the right candidate who shows leadership and initiative. Responsibilities Lead shifts by supporting front-of-house operations and maintaining service standards Welcome guests, manage reservations, and oversee seating flow Provide knowledgeable and engaging bartending service Assist guests with menu, beverage, and event recommendations Help coordinate private parties and special events, from planning through execution Communicate event details with guests and internal teams Support training, teamwork, and a positive restaurant culture Assist with opening, closing, and daily operational tasks Qualifications Previous restaurant experience required 2+ years of leadership, bartending, or supervisory experience preferred Must meet Nebraska's minimum age requirement for serving alcohol; alcohol server permit preferred (or willingness to obtain one) Strong communication and hospitality skills Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment Food, beverage, and wine knowledge preferred Schedule Day and night shifts available Flexible scheduling Weekend availability preferred Benefits Flexible schedule Employee dining benefits Paid sick leave (per Nebraska's Healthy Families and Workplaces Act) Opportunities for growth and advancement Work in a professional, team-oriented hospitality environment The Linden House is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
