Job Description

Key Responsibilities Food Preparation & Service:
Menu Execution:
Prep and cook established deli menu items exactly according to standard recipes to ensure consistent taste, portion sizes, and presentation.
Station Setup:
Organize and stock kitchen stations with necessary ingredients and equipment before rushes.
High-Volume Prep:
Execute daily prep sheets (slicing meats, chopping vegetables, making batch soups/salads) to ensure the deli display case is always full and fresh.
Inventory & Kitchen Operations:
Inventory Management:
Conduct regular inventory counts of food, paper goods, and kitchen supplies to track stock levels.
Receiving & Inspection:
Check in incoming shipments from food distributors. Verify delivery accuracy against invoices, inspect for freshness/quality, and immediately report discrepancies.
Waste Reduction:
Strictly enforce First In, First Out (FIFO) stock rotation to minimize food waste and optimize food costs.
Health & Safety Compliance:
Maintain a spotlessly clean kitchen. Ensure all food safety regulations are met, including monitoring and logging cooler/freezer temperatures.
Prep Scheduling:
Monitor daily sales and upcoming catering orders to adjust daily prep volumes accurately.
Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour
