Job Description

Banquet Supervisor $20/hour + tips About Us Park Street Hospitality is a premier hospitality company located in the heart of downtown Glens Falls, NY. We deliver exceptional quality and consistency across our properties, which include our flagship event venue, The Park Theater, and Park & Elm—a multi-concept eatery featuring a fine dining restaurant, market, and delicatessen. We host and cater a diverse range of on- and off-premise events, from intimate rehearsal dinners to expansive fundraising galas for over 500 guests. The Role We are seeking a dedicated and leadership-driven Banquet Supervisor to oversee our event operations on the floor. You will guide our service team to ensure every detail of a client's vision comes to life, from the initial room preparation to the final guest's departure. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and ready to lead by example in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Managerial Support & Event Execution:
Act as the right-hand to our Catering and Events Manager, serving as the operational bridge between the event planning process and flawless day-of execution. While you will frequently assist the manager with day-of leadership tasks, you will also be trusted to take the reins and run select events independently as the primary supervisor.
Event Setup & Teardown:
This requires translating floor plans into reality, managing the heavy lifting and arrangement of tables, chairs, staging, and A/V equipment, and ensuring precise placement of all event elements.
Team Leadership:
Assist in directing, training, and supporting a team of banquet servers, runners, and bartenders during events. Assist with pre-shift meetings and server sections. Foster a positive work environment.
Client Relations:
Serve as a reliable on-site point of contact for clients during the event, anticipating needs and professionally resolving any issues that arise on the floor.
Service Coordination:
Work closely with the culinary and beverage teams to expidite food delivery, manage dietary restrictions, and ensure quality control as items leave the kitchen.
Quality & Safety Control:
Ensure the proper breakdown of the event, safely store equipment, and maintain venue cleanliness and health code standards at all times.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in catering, banquets, or high-volume restaurants, with experience in event setup or a supervisory role highly preferred.
Physical Stamina:
Ability to meet the physical demands of venue setup and event service. You must be able to regularly perform heavy lifting (up to 50+ lbs), cary trays, move furniture, navigate stairs, and stay on your feet for extended periods. Attention to

Exceptional ability to read, interpret, and perfectly execute Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and floor plans with a keen eye for visual presentation.
Leadership & Communication:
Proven ability to manage and motivate a team, paired with a polished, professional demeanor when interacting with clients and guests.
Schedule Flexibility:
Must have open availability to work regular weekly hours (30-40/wk) that will heavily include mornings for setups, as well as evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the event calendar.
Certifications:
