Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Dietary Director to lead and oversee the food service operations within a assisted living setting. This pivotal role involves managing the dietary department, ensuring compliance with health regulations, and delivering exceptional nutrition and food safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of clinical nutrition, and a passion for enhancing resident well-being through tailored dietary programs. As a key member of our team, you will drive quality food production, supervise food service staff, and develop innovative care plans that promote health and satisfaction. Duties Lead and manage the entire dietary department, including supervising food service teams to ensure efficient operations and high-quality service delivery Develop, implement, and monitor care plans that incorporate nutritional needs tailored to individual residents or patients Oversee food production processes, ensuring meals meet safety standards, nutritional guidelines, and client preferences Conduct patient assessments to determine dietary requirements, including specialized diets such as tube feeding or diagnostic evaluation needs Maintain compliance with all health regulation policies and food service health codes through regular audits and staff training Manage budgets for the dietary department, including purchasing, inventory control, and cost analysis to optimize resources Utilize EMR/EHR systems for accurate documentation of care plans, dietary assessments, and progress notes Requirements Proven experience in assisted living or healthcare food service management with a strong background in dietetics or clinical nutrition Demonstrated ability to manage food safety programs and ensure compliance with health regulations and policies Extensive knowledge of physiology related to nutrition, acute care practices, and specialized feeding methods such as tube feeding Skilled in managing food service teams with supervisory experience in a dietary or food production setting Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) management systems and food safety management tools Strong leadership qualities with excellent team management skills and the ability to foster a collaborative work environment Knowledge of budget management, food service health code compliance, and regulatory policies governing healthcare nutrition services Join us as a Dietary Director to make a meaningful impact on residents' lives by providing nutritious, safe, and personalized meal services.
