Overview:
The Food & Beverage Supervisor assists in overseeing the food and beverage operations within the hotel to provide good quality service, food and beverage presentation, and guest experience.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned F&B areas. Work to understand the knowledge of state liquor regulations, particularly those prohibiting service to minors, intoxicated persons, and drunk driving. Check storage areas for proper supplies, organization, and cleanliness. Supporting the Manager, assisting in ensuring staff has reported to work; document any late or absent employees. Coordinate breaks for assigned staff. Inspect table/set-ups, check for cleanliness, neatness, and agreement with guest's order and departmental standards Ensure that all orders are delivered within designated timelines. Assist in taking guests' orders, following specified procedures, as necessary to ensure department standards. Document pertinent information in the department logbook. Complete all paperwork and closing duties in accordance with departmental standards. Review status of assignments and any follow-up action with the Manager and/or on-coming Supervisor.
Education and Experience:
High school graduate or equivalent vocational training certificate Prefer 1-2 years experience in an F&B related role Micros and Delphi knowledge is useful, but not required Must have a good understanding of the English language and solid verbal and written communication skills. Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional demeanor. Must be a minimum of 21 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages Have or be willing to obtain any appropriate certificates/licenses to meet all compliance standards
