Job Description

Executive Chef | Culinary Leader Help Define the Future of Butcher and the Brewer We're looking for a culinary leader who gets excited about building a restaurant with a clear point of view. Whether you're an experienced Executive Chef or an accomplished Sous Chef or Chef de Cuisine ready for the next step, we're interested in people who connect with our vision and want to help bring it to life. Our goal is to create a modern brewpub that truly lives up to our name by bringing together the traditions of the butcher and the brewer through craftsmanship, technique, preservation, fermentation, fire and smoke, and seasonality to create bold shared plates that pair naturally with great beer. Located in one of Cleveland's busiest entertainment districts, we believe high volume and high standards can coexist. Our challenge is executing thoughtful, scratch-driven food in a fast-paced, event-driven environment without compromising quality or consistency. You'll thrive here if you're passionate about: Building menus with intention and a clear point of view. Fermentation, pickling, curing, smoking, braising, sausage making, and other traditional techniques. A kitchen featuring a Josper Coal-Fired Oven, Stone Hearth Oven, Southern Pride Smoker, and Plancha that should inspire the menu as much as the chef. Leading from the kitchen by coaching, teaching, tasting, and setting the standard every day. Building systems, developing people, and creating consistency from prep to plate. Using technology, detailed inventory, and operational discipline to support creativity, consistency, and long-term success. Collaborating with ownership to build a connected culinary program spanning the restaurant, private dining, catering, seasonal features, and future concepts. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys developing people, embracing challenges, and helping build a restaurant that truly represents its namesake.
Compensation Base salary:
$70,000-$90,000 based on your culinary leadership experience and qualifications. In addition to base compensation, our leadership team participates in a meaningful performance incentive program tied to operational gross profit. $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
