Warehouse The Food Service Associate will assist with the production of shelf-stable meals and be responsible for the operation of one or more food service site locations by transporting and distributing meals at community locations. Additionally, the Associate will perform all essential duties to ensure compliance of USDA meal service regulations and comply with safety protocols while representing Childrens Hunger Alliance in a professional manner and providing a positive experience for children and families.Job Responsibilities:
Assist with accepting food deliveries, inventory, shelf-stable meal packing, and food delivery. Load/re-load boxes of shelf-stable meals. Transport meals using an agency provided vehicle and/or accept meal deliveries at assigned meal distribution locations. Distribute meals to participants in accordance with regulations for recordkeeping, food safety, and safety protocols forCOVID-19.
Implement, follow, and maintain safety protocol for staff, volunteers, and program recipients and ensure high touch areas of vans are wiped with cleaning solution before departure and upon arrival. Ensure supplies and equipment are accessible for use, properly maintained, stored, and secured. Ensure all records are accurate, complete and up-to-date and submit timely reports as required. Ensure all programs and services are delivered on-time and in accordance with regulations. Provide support to outside community groups and staff who may provide additional resources for distribution in conjunction with meal service. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Experience working in a community setting and with community members from varying backgrounds. Positive, friendly, energetic, enthusiastic, dependable, enthusiastic, team player, dependable and committed to CHA mission. Valid Ohio drivers license and reliable transportation. Must pass a criminal background screen and driving history check resulting in a clean driving record. Basic computer proficiency. Ability to lift and move boxes up to 50 pounds to/from vehicles, and to/from distribution sites.Similar jobs in Columbus, OH
