Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Leader to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced casual dining environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for food production, ensuring that all operations run smoothly during their shift. As a Shift Leader, you will play a crucial role in managing the team, maintaining high standards of food preparation, and delivering exceptional service to our guests. Duties Oversee daily operations during assigned shifts, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures. Manage and support kitchen staff in food preparation and cooking processes, maintaining quality and consistency. Conduct inventory control by monitoring stock levels, placing orders as necessary, and minimizing waste. Train and mentor new staff members in food production techniques, safety protocols, and customer service standards. Foster a positive work environment through effective team management and communication. Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues that may arise during the shift. Ensure cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in compliance with health regulations. Qualifications Proven experience in a leadership role within the food service industry, preferably in casual dining. Strong knowledge of food production processes and kitchen operations. Experience with inventory control systems and practices. Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire staff. Familiarity with bartending is a plus but not required. Ability to train staff effectively in food preparation techniques and safety measures. Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
