You'll lead and develop the dietary team, manage food service operations, maintain regulatory compliance, oversee purchasing and budgets, and partner with clinical leaders to support outstanding resident care. What You'll Do Lead the daily operations of the Dietary Department with a focus on quality, efficiency, and resident satisfaction Create a welcoming, positive work environment while coaching, mentoring, and developing dietary staff Plan, organize, and oversee meal preparation and food service operations Partner with the Registered Dietitian to develop nutritious, appealing menus that accommodate therapeutic diets and resident preferences Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, sanitation standards, and food safety requirements Manage inventory, purchasing, and food costs while maintaining exceptional quality Monitor meal service to ensure consistency, presentation, and resident satisfaction Collaborate with Nursing, Therapy, and other departments to meet residents' nutritional needs Maintain accurate dietary records, menus, meal counts, and required documentation Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and quality improvement initiatives Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Food Service Management, or a related field preferred Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification preferred, or willingness to obtain certification within the required timeframe Previous dietary management experience, preferably in long-term care, rehabilitation, or healthcare Strong knowledge of nutrition, therapeutic diets, food safety, and regulatory compliance Proven leadership, team-building, and organizational skills Excellent communication and customer service abilities Passion for delivering exceptional resident experiences through outstanding food service
