Our team is committed to excellence, and we are seeking a skilled and compassionate Certified Dietary Manager to join our dietary services team.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Certified Dietary Manager to oversee the daily operations of our dietary department at our Quapaw, Oklahoma location. As a key member of our team, the Certified Dietary Manager will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of food service, maintaining compliance with regulatory standards, and providing exceptional customer service to our patients, families, and staff.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the daily operations of the dietary department, including menu planning, food preparation, and food service delivery Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as organizational policies and procedures Manage and supervise a team of dietary staff, including dietary assistants, cooks, and nutrition educators Conduct staff training and performance evaluations, providing constructive feedback and coaching Maintain accurate records of food inventory, menu planning, and food service operations Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient satisfaction and care outcomes Collaborate with other department leaders to develop and implement policies, procedures, and programs that support the organization's mission and goals
Requirements:
Current certification as a Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or willingness to obtain certification within six months of hire Minimum of [insert minimum years of experience] years of experience in dietary management, with at least [insert minimum years of experience] years in a long-term care or healthcare setting High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in food service management, dietetics, or a related field preferred Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations and team members Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
