Criminal Background Check Required Position Summary The Restaurant Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the hotel's restaurant and lounge during assigned shifts, ensuring exceptional guest service, operational efficiency, and compliance with company and brand standards. This position provides leadership and direction to restaurant associates, assists with training and development, and supports the Restaurant Manager in achieving departmental goals. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Supervise restaurant operations during assigned shifts. Lead and motivate restaurant associates to provide exceptional guest service. Ensure compliance with hotel policies, Marriott brand standards, and food safety regulations. Assist with opening and closing procedures, including cash handling and daily reports. Monitor dining room appearance, cleanliness, and organization. Ensure food and beverage quality meets established standards. Assign workstations and delegate responsibilities to team members. Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching and support. Assist in resolving guest concerns promptly and professionally. Monitor employee performance and communicate concerns to management. Ensure proper sanitation, safety, and responsible alcohol service practices are followed. Assist with inventory counts, stocking, and supply organization. Communicate effectively with the kitchen, bar, and hotel departments to ensure smooth operations. Support labor management by monitoring staffing levels throughout each shift. Complete shift reports and communicate operational updates to management. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous restaurant or hospitality experience required; supervisory experience preferred. Strong leadership, customer service, and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism. Basic knowledge of restaurant operations, POS systems, food safety, and sanitation standards. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 30 pounds. Frequent bending, reaching, and carrying trays or supplies. Ability to work in varying temperatures and a fast-paced restaurant environment. Work Environment This position works in a full-service hotel restaurant and lounge environment with frequent guest interaction. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is required. What we
