Position Overview The Nutrition Group is seeking a Director of Food and Nutrition to oversee daily cafeteria operations within a K-12 school district. This role requires a dynamic leader with a strong background in food service management, compliance, and team leadership. Key Responsibilities Develop and manage school menus in compliance with USDA and state guidelines Oversee food cost control, budgeting, and inventory management Lead and supervise cafeteria staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment Ensure accuracy in accounting and reporting processes Maintain strong communication with school district administrators and officials Qualifications Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field required 1-2 years of proven staff management experience Food service industry experience strongly preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to obtain necessary clearances and pass background checks Compensation & Benefits Company-paid individual health coverage Dental and vision plan options 401(k) with company match Life insurance coverage Paid time off and holidays Professional training and development opportunities Tuition reimbursement Consistent Monday-Friday daytime schedule
