Job Description

Responsible for participating in performance improvement and organizational projects as assigned. Assist frontline staff with coordination of patient care striving for the highest level of patient satisfaction and quality of care. Maintain collaborative and positive working relations with all disciplines, departments and community partners. Promotes positive public relations and serves as IRMC Ambassador while directing and supporting organizational operations. The Shift Coordinator is responsible for administrative, clinical and operational functions of Patient Services in the absence of the Nursing Leadership during off shifts, weekends, and holidays. They are responsible to direct and support all IRMC departments on an as needed basis. Also, maintains the responsibility for the implementation of the Mission, Vision and Goals of the Organization and Patient Services. Coordinates staffing of departments and is responsible for productivity standards of Patient Services. Responsible for participating in Performance Improvement and Organizational Projects as assigned.
Minimum Education Required:
Current Licensure as a registered nurse in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
Minimum Experience Required:
Three to five years nursing experience, including leadership abilities.
Licensure/Certification Required:
Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field. Must be BLS certified required (or obtain within one month of hire).
