ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Study production orders to ascertain type and quantity of product and other packaging requirements. Interprets company policies to workers and enforces safety regulations. Interprets specifications and job orders to workers, and assigns duties. Observe packaging operations. Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules. Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of work crew. Analyze and resolve work problems, or assists workers in solving work problems. Initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve work goals. Maintain time and production records. Confer with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervises 20 to 60 employees in the Production Department. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
COMPUTER SKILLS
Familiarity with the Microsoft Office Suite. Experience with ERP systems, Lotus Notes and Time and Attendance software.
