Job Description

The Berkshire Country Club is looking to add to our amazing team of hospitality professionals. We are a private member owned Country Club, located just outside of Reading, that offers multiple recreational activities, dining experiences and Club events. We are currently hiring a Food and Beverage Director who is passionate about the food and beverage industry. What you will be doing. (this list is not inclusive of all duties) Overseeing the Clubhouse's daily operations, including staffing needs, scheduling, personnel costs, and payroll management. Ensure exceptional service and quality standards are met. Leading the hiring, onboarding, and ongoing development of front-of-house staff to ensure strong performance and job satisfaction. Enforce food safety regulations to maintain a safe dining environment. Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed. Maintains contact with members; ensures member satisfaction; oversees member services and events; receives and resolves complaints from members, guests, and employees. Must be willing to work all positions in the department. Identifying opportunities to enhance member offerings and create innovative family programming. Looks for opportunities to create new and innovative programming for families. Hiring, training, and developing direct reports, including Food and Beverage Managers, Events Coordinators, Pool Supervisors, Lifeguards and Tennis Professionals. Attending management and departmental meetings to ensure strong communication and collaboration across all club functions. What we require. Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business management, or related field. At least 5 years of relevant experience in an upscale environment. Experience overseeing multiple functions in hospitality, resort, or private club setting. Working knowledge of general business practices such as accounting, purchasing, human resources, etc. Strong knowledge of food production process, catering services, beverage service and fine dining standards. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on member satisfaction. Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices. Superior organizational, leadership and communication skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Active engagement in
CMAA, CCM
designation. This position is required to work between 50-60 hours a week, weekends and holidays. What we offer.
