Our Story Bad Ass Coffee of Hawaii was born on the Big Island of Hawaii in 1989 with the dream of sharing American-grown, premium Hawaiian coffee from Kauai, Oahu, Maui, Moloka'i, and Ka'u with coffee lovers everywhere. In addition to coffee with a kick, we serve popular blended drinks, teas, food, and branded merchandise. Responsibilities Create the Aloha Spirit with every customer interaction. Produce Bad Ass beverages with speed and accuracy. Cleaning and upkeep in the shop. Cash handling. Open and/or close the store following established procedures. Lead the team during assigned shifts and serve as the primary point of contact when the Store Manager is not on-site. Coach and support baristas to ensure exceptional customer service and smooth daily operations. Resolve customer questions and concerns professionally while creating positive outcomes. Ensure baristas are following recipes, beverage standards, and building drinks in the proper order to maintain quality and consistency. Monitor workflow, delegate tasks, and help the team stay organized during busy periods. Communicate important updates and shift information to fellow Shift Leads and the Store Manager to ensure seamless transitions between shifts. Qualifications Must have open availability to work mornings/afternoons Must have weekend availability Food Handler Certificate preferred or will need to become certified. Previous experience in a similar role in the food service or coffee industry is preferred. Previous experience as a Shift Lead, Team Lead, or other leadership role is preferred. Experience leading, coaching, and motivating a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner. Knowledge of the Toast POS system or a similar point-of-sale system is a plus. On time and reliable. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to collaborate with other Shift Leads to ensure smooth transitions and consistent operations throughout the day. A positive attitude and willingness to lead by example. Willingness to work within a team atmosphere. Pay:

$13.50 - $17.50 per hour
