Job Description

Restaurant Director Dolly's Tennessean Travel Stop - Cornersville, TN Dolly's Tennessean Travel Stop is seeking an experienced, hands-on Restaurant Director to lead and oversee the daily operations of our high-volume restaurant. We are looking for a strong leader who is passionate about hospitality, team development, operational excellence, and delivering an exceptional guest experience in a fast-paced travel stop environment. As the Restaurant Director, you will be responsible for driving restaurant performance, managing staff, ensuring food quality and safety standards, and maintaining a positive culture focused on customer service and accountability. Travel-stop restaurant leadership roles commonly emphasize operational execution, team development, food safety, inventory management, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all restaurant operations, including front and back of house Lead, coach, and develop managers, servers, cooks, and restaurant staff Ensure exceptional guest service and a welcoming dining experience Maintain high standards for food quality, cleanliness, and safety Manage labor, scheduling, staffing levels, and payroll efficiency Monitor inventory, ordering, food cost, and waste control Drive sales growth and profitability while maintaining operational standards Ensure compliance with health department regulations and company policies Addressing guest concerns professionally and resolving issues quickly Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and employee engagement
Qualifications:
Minimum 3-5 years of restaurant management leadership experience preferred Experience in high-volume restaurants, travel centers, truck stops, or hospitality operations preferred Strong leadership and team-building skills Experience managing labor costs, food cost, and profit and loss performance Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Experience with POS systems and scheduling software preferred Table service experience
