Position Summary The Maintenance Group Leader is an hourly frontline leader responsible for directing and coordinating maintenance activities during the assigned shift. This working leadership position provides frontline supervision and technical guidance to maintenance technicians, assigns and prioritizes work, supports troubleshooting and equipment restoration, and ensures maintenance activities are completed safely and effectively. The Group Leader works closely with the Maintenance Manager, Production, Engineering, Quality, Sanitation, and other plant functions to support safe, reliable plant operation. Key Responsibilities

• Lead, assign, prioritize, and coordinate maintenance technicians during the assigned shift.
• Provide technical leadership and troubleshooting support for mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, controls, utility, and facility systems.
• Respond to equipment failures and coordinate repairs to safely restore operation and minimize production impact.
• Coordinate execution of assigned preventive, predictive, corrective, emergency, and planned maintenance work.
• Reinforce Lockout/Tagout, safe-work practices, GMPs, food-safety requirements, and maintenance workmanship standards.
• Coordinate with Production and other plant functions regarding equipment status, maintenance priorities, access, and startup readiness.
• Ensure work orders and maintenance activities are accurately documented in Tabware/CMMS and communicate unresolved issues through effective shift turnover.
• Coach technicians in troubleshooting, repair methods, safe work practices, and technical development.
• Support maintenance planning, recurring-failure investigations, root-cause analysis, shutdown work, and reliability improvement activities.

Leadership & Authority The Maintenance Group Leader directs day-to-day maintenance work on the assigned shift and has authority to assign and redirect maintenance resources, prioritize immediate shift work, stop unsafe work, and escalate equipment conditions that present safety, food-safety, quality, reliability, or production risks. Formal staffing decisions, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and overall maintenance-program management remain with the Maintenance Manager. Qualifications

• Minimum five years of industrial maintenance experience or equivalent demonstrated maintenance capability.
• Food or consumer-products manufacturing experience preferred.
• Prior leadership, lead technician, or work-coordination experience preferred.
• Strong industrial troubleshooting skills; experience with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and controls systems preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Lockout/Tagout and industrial maintenance safety practices.
• Ability to read technical drawings, manuals, schematics, and equipment documentation.
• Experience using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS); Tabware experience preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, organization, coaching, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Working Conditions This position works in an active manufacturing environment and requires regular standing, walking, climbing, and work around operating equipment. The Group Leader must be able to perform the physical activities required of industrial maintenance work and be available for emergency response, shutdowns, and special maintenance activities as required.
