We are specifically interested in applicants who already have experience in meat processing, food production, commercial kitchens, butcher shops, slaughter/processing facilities, grocery meat departments, or similar production environments. Previous knowledge of beef, pork, and chicken cuts would be a major advantage. What You'll Be Responsible For The Meat Processing Department Lead will work directly in daily production while also taking ownership of the department's organization and completion of required tasks.

We have our own system and will train the right person on exactly how Bryant Beef operates, but our goal is to find someone with enough previous experience that they can understand the majority of the position within approximately 5-10 working days .
The ideal candidate will be:
Experienced in meat processing, food production, butchering, or a related field Comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment Familiar with beef, pork, and/or poultry cuts Extremely reliable Organized and detail-oriented Comfortable maintaining production paperwork and required logs Capable of following USDA and food-safety procedures Comfortable taking responsibility for the condition of the department at the end of each day Able to work independently without constant supervision Comfortable directing other employees when necessary Willing to work hands-on alongside the rest of the production team Able to prioritize production and keep work moving Able to recognize when something is wrong and address it instead of waiting to be told
Experience Preferred:
Meat processing or butcher experience Beef and pork cut identification Food-production experience USDA-inspected facility experience Vacuum packaging and labeling experience Sanitation and food-safety recordkeeping Previous lead, supervisor, or production-management experience Previous leadership experience is helpful, but we are more interested in finding someone who understands production, works hard, stays organized, and can take ownership of the department. Schedule This is a full-time position .

The right person should become someone ownership can depend on to take responsibility for the department instead of simply completing individual tasks. If you have previous meat-processing or food-production experience and are looking for a full-time position where you can take ownership of an operation, we would like to hear from you. Please include your previous meat-processing, butcher, production, food-manufacturing, or supervisory experience when applying.
