Job Description
As a Lead Steward/Receiver at ARAMARK, you will oversee kitchen sanitation, dishwashing operations, and receipt of all food and supply deliveries for a high-volume hospitality environment. You will coordinate stewarding staff, assign cleaning and warewashing tasks, and ensure compliance with health, safety, and food-handling standards. You will receive, inspect, and store incoming orders, verify invoices, and maintain accurate inventory and storage rotation. Partnering closely with culinary and management teams, you'll support efficient service, minimize waste, and help train and mentor team members in best practices and safety procedures. Responsibilities Lead daily stewarding and dishwashing operations in a high-volume kitchen Oversee receipt, inspection, and verification of food and supply deliveries Maintain organized, labeled, and rotated storage areas (FIFO) Ensure strict compliance with health, sanitation, and safety regulations Schedule, train, and guide stewarding team members Operate and maintain dish machines and cleaning equipment safely Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages or issues Coordinate with culinary and management teams to support service needs Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, back-of-house, and waste areas Assist with audits, inspections, and corrective action follow-up Required Skills Commercial kitchen sanitation Dishwashing operations Receiving and inventory control Invoice verification Food safety and HACCPChemical and equipment handling Team leadership and training Time management Basic computer/inventory systems Communication with culinary staff
