General Responsibilities:

the main focus of the Lead Shift Supervisor is to make sure the chain of command is being followed accordingly and to be the lead supervisor while on shift.

Duties:

1. The Lead Shift Supervisor will make sure the Shift Supervisors and the YSO's are doing their jobs as they should and disciplining and mentoring residents accordingly. 2. To make sure the Shift Supervisors are holding their YSO's accountable as applicable. 3. To make sure the Shift Supervisors are designating tasks to their YSO's accordingly. 4. To make sure the YSO's are holding the residents accountable as applicable. 5. To monitor residents for a safe environment at the facilities. 6. To ensure that the Shift Supervisors as well as the YSO's are working within the guidelines of the Therapeutic milieu. 7. To be able to participate in the reporting and handling of crisis situations while maintaining discipline by following state guidelines. 8. To be able to give performance reviews of the supervisors and/or YSO's as applicable. 9. To be able to guide the Supervisors toward developing a good rapport with their YSO's and vice versa. 10. To follow all applicable policies of WHWH/Hollis Academy. 11. Participate in the PQI program as requested. 12. Demonstrate competence in cultural knowledge, awareness, and sensitivity. 13. Perform other job related duties as assigned by WHWH/Standing Tall Music City. 14. The Lead Shift Supervisor must always support the on duty Shift Supervisor as long as the supervision follows policy and procedures. 15. The Lead Shift Supervisor will ensure the on duty Shift Supervisor is always supporting the on duty YSO's as long as the YSO's are following policy and procedures. 16. The Lead Shift Supervisor is to ensure the staff to resident ratio is correct. 17. The Lead Shift Supervisor will answer directly to the Facility Administrator. 18. The Lead Shift Supervisor will be the Lead Supervisor when on shift.

Qualifications and Experience:

Must be at least 21 years of age with a High School Diploma or GED. An associate degree with emphasis in working with children and one (5) year experience working with children's services program is preferred; however, two (2) years' experience working in a residential setting may be submitted.
