GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB
The Key Manager supports the management team by ensuring smooth day-to-day operations during assigned shifts. This role focuses on executing opening and closing procedures, supervising hourly employees, delivering excellent guest service, and maintaining operational standards. The Key Manager upholds the MAD Concepts Group Brand Promise by creating a welcoming environment for guests while supporting the team through leadership, organization, and accountability.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPOSIBILITIES 1.
) Open and close the restaurant according to company procedures, including securing the building, completing required checklists, and ensuring readiness for service. 2.) Lead shifts by directing hourly employees and ensuring smooth execution of service standards. 3.) Ensure guests are promptly welcomed and receive friendly, attentive service throughout their visit. 4.) Support FOH and BOH teams by maintaining pace, communication, and teamwork during service. 5.) Monitor food quality, ticket times, cleanliness, and presentation standards. 6.) Assist with cash handling duties as assigned, including drawers, shift checkouts, and tip distribution, following company procedures. 7.) Communicate operational issues, employee concerns, and guest feedback to the General Manager or Manager on Duty. 8.) Reinforce company policies, safety standards, and service expectations. 9.) Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the restaurant, including dining room, restrooms, kitchen areas, and service stations. 10.) Assist with training new hires by modeling proper procedures and service behaviors. 11.) Help ensure all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service standards are followed. 12.) Create a positive, respectful, and professional work environment. 13.) Set a strong example by maintaining professional appearance, attitude, and conduct at all times. 14.) EXPERIENCE
Previous restaurant or hospitality experience required. Leadership or shift-lead experience preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to effectively communicate in the English language. Spanish communication skills are helpful.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to follow multi-step procedures, prioritize tasks, and respond calmly to changing conditions during service
CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must attend orientation and complete required training prior to working independently. Must obtain and maintain all required food safety and alcohol service certifications as required by local or state regulations.
