Job Description

Job Summary Join us at the first drive thru Sweetwaters Coffee & Tea! We are a locally owned coffee & tea location seeking an energetic and motivated Shift Lead to join our food/beverage team! As a Shift Lead, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth daily operations, delivering exceptional customer service, and leading our team to success. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your leadership skills within a fast-paced, hospitality-focused environment. Your enthusiasm and leadership expertise will help create a welcoming atmosphere where both guests and staff thrive. The ideal candidate is passionate about people, coffee, food preparation, possesses strong management skills, and has experience in quick service or casual dining settings. Duties Oversee daily operations during your shift, ensuring all activities run smoothly and efficiently Lead, motivate, and supervise team members to deliver outstanding customer service and uphold food safety standards Manage food preparation and cooking processes to maintain quality and consistency in every dish served Utilize POS systems for order processing, cash handling, and transaction accuracy Control inventory levels, monitor stock rotation, and assist with food ordering to minimize waste and optimize costs Train new staff members on food handling, customer service protocols, and cafe procedures Enforce health and safety regulations, including food safety standards and sanitation practices Assist with shift management tasks such as shift changes, budgeting, and resolving operational issues promptly Support catering, banquet events, or bar service as needed to ensure guest satisfaction across all service areas Foster a positive team environment through effective communication, coaching, and performance feedback Experience Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen management within a quick service or casual dining restaurant Demonstrated supervisory or team management experience in the food industry or hospitality sector Familiarity with POS systems for transactions and inventory control Strong background in food safety practices and food handling procedures Experience with staff training, development, and leading new team members Knowledge of restaurant management principle including shift management, and customer service excellence Prior hospitality management experience in catering, hotel restaurants or bar environments is highly desirable Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams in a fast-paced setting while taking care of our guestsl Must have a valid Texas Food Managers Certification Join us to lead this team! Pay:
$13.00 - $19.00 per hour
