Fritz's is an experiential adventure park that brings people together through discovery, challenge and play. We offer two million cubic feet of attractions including zip lines, mazes, tunnels, ropes course, playgrounds and more. The Café Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Café, including food preparation, service, stocking, cleanliness, inventory, cash handling, and guest service. This role ensures that Café operations run efficiently and consistently while maintaining food safety standards, supporting sales goals, and developing the frontline team.

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership Supervise and coordinate day-to-day Café operations, including food preparation, service, stocking, receiving deliveries, and maintaining work areas. Ensure consistent adherence to Café policies, procedures, operational standards, and food safety requirements. Manage staffing schedules, task assignments, and breaks to ensure adequate coverage throughout the day. Assign daily tasks and priorities to team members and identify additional projects or operational needs as appropriate. Ensure Café work areas, dining areas, storage areas, coolers, freezers, and equipment are clean, organized, and properly maintained. Monitor product availability and communicate inventory or supply needs to management. Ensure all POS systems, equipment, and operational processes are functioning properly and report issues as needed. Perform all other duties as assigned or as necessary to support all of Fritz's Adventure. Safety Compliance Maintain compliance with applicable food safety, health department, sanitation, and company regulations. Ensure food is properly prepared, stored, labeled, dated, and maintained at appropriate temperatures. Monitor product freshness, quality, and proper rotation to minimize waste and maintain food quality. Conduct routine checks of food, equipment, and work areas to ensure compliance with company standards. Support park-wide emergency response and safety protocols as part of the management team. Guest Experience Create wow moments with a welcoming, enthusiastic, and guest-focused atmosphere. Provide guests with accurate information about menu items, ingredients, and available options. Make product recommendations and assist guests in selecting menu items based on their needs and preferences. Proactively observe and listen to guests and resolve issues quickly with professionalism and empathy. Model and coach exceptional guest interaction skills for all team members. Team Development Train and mentor Café team members on food preparation, service, POS procedures, operational standards, and guest service. Train team members on Café checklists, inventory procedures, food safety practices, and other required operational processes. Conduct pre-shift briefings to communicate daily priorities, safety updates, staffing assignments, and operational expectations. Monitor performance, provide feedback, and assist in coaching and corrective actions when needed. Provide ongoing training and re-training to ensure team members remain proficient in their assigned responsibilities. Promote teamwork, accountability, and alignment with the park's mission and values. Café Inventory Management Monitor the quality, consistency, and presentation of prepared food and beverages. Ensure Café products and supplies are properly received, stored, organized, stocked, and rotated. Maintain appropriate inventory levels and communicate out-of-stock or low-stock items to management. Assist with inventory counts, product rotation, waste control, and other inventory management processes. Ensure accurate pricing, menu information, and product availability within the Café and POS system. Support daily reconciliation and reporting of sales, cash, inventory, and other Café-related information.

Qualifications:

Strong understanding of food service operations, POS systems, cash handling, and food safety best practices. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to multitask in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment. Strong attention to detail and accountability for operational accuracy. Ability to effectively train, coach, and motivate team members. Must be comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or ability to obtain). Must be 18 years or older.

Schedule Environment:

Full-time hourly position; nights, weekends, holidays and peak season availability are required. Indoor and outdoor work environment with variable weather and physical activity. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods. Must occasionally push, pull, lift, or carry up to 50 pounds independently and safely. Must occasionally ascend or descend ladders, stairs, and ramps. Frequent use of computers and point-of-sale systems. Frequent reaching, turning, and performing precision work around team members and guests. Frequent verbal communication with guests, team members, and management.
