Since opening its first store in Seoul in 2002, the brand has grown to over 1,700 locations and has built a strong reputation for combining specialty coffee with patisserie-style desserts. As we launch and expand our operations in the United States, we are looking for an experienced Back-of-House Manage. This role will be a key partner in establishing a strong foundation for our US teams. Position Overview The Back-of-House Supervisor is responsible for leading all kitchen operations while ensuring exceptional quality, organization, cleanliness, and efficiency. Reporting directly to the Café Manager, this role oversees the daily performance of the cake decorators and line cooks while working alongside the team to maintain operational excellence. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who enjoys mentoring others, maintaining high culinary standards, and creating systems that support consistency and teamwork. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Team Development Supervise and support the daily performance of the cake decorators and line cook. Lead by example through professionalism, teamwork, and accountability. Train new kitsch team members on recipes, procedures, food safety, and quality standards. Coach employees to improve performance while fostering a positive and respectful work environment. Communicate effectively with the Café Manager regarding staffing, inventory, and operational needs. Assist with scheduling, shift coverage, and labor management. Kitchen Operations Ensure all food and desserts are prepared according to A Twosome Place recipes and presentation standards. Monitor product quality, consistency, freshness, and portion control. Coordinate daily production schedules with anticipated efficient service. Minimize food waste while maintaining product availability. Assist in kitchen operations during peak service periods. Quality & Food Safety Maintain compliance with all local health department regulations. Ensure strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards. Conduct daily quality checks on desserts, food items, and ingredients. Maintain organized and sanitary kitchen workstation. Monitor product storage, rotation (FIFO), labeling, and expiration dates. Inventory & Ordering Assist with inventory counts and ordering. Monitor ingredient usage and communicate purchasing needs. Help control food costs through proper inventory management and waste reduction. Collaboration Partner with the Front-of-House Supervisor to ensure smooth communication between kitchen and service teams. Support special events, seasonal menu launches, and promotion offerings. Maintain an efficient kitchen that supports an exceptional guest experience. Requirements What We're Looking For 3+ years of professional kitchen experience. Previous supervisory or lead experience preferred. Experience in cafés, bakeries, dessert concepts, or upscale casual restaurants is highly preferred. Passion for quality ingredients, thoughtful food preparation, and beautiful presentation. Excellent attention to detail and consistency. Ability to work efficiently while maintaining premium quality standards. Strong organizational skills Positive attitude with commitment to teamwork and hospitality. Availability to work early mornings, weekends, holidays, and special events as needed. Stone knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures. Strong communication and coaching skills Food Handler Certification (or ability to obtain after hire). Nice to Have Strong experience in leading teams and participation in NSOs. Experience in F&B, cafe, restaurant, or franchise-based retail operations. Strong understanding of K-brands and Korean business culture.
