Overview:
The Supervisor is responsible for supervising the activities of the room service staff. Their main concern is to ensure that guests are consistently serviced in a courteous, efficient and unobtrusive manner. The Supervisor will have full responsibility in the absence of Assistant Room Service Manager.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure optimal performance in the day-to-day operation.
- Assist Room Service Manager and Assistant Room Service Manager in training of the staff.
- Check the waiters' orders and set-up.
- Control order load of the waiters.
- Assign waiters and service attendants duties.
- Check on tray and table removal.
- Establish and maintain cohesive and effective Associate relations.
- Inspect daily set-up, presentation and delivery of amenities.
- Handle the execution of the hospitality.
- Maintain guest contact.
- Conduct administrative work requirements.
- Performs related duties and special projects.
- Provides functional assistance and directions to the Room Service operation.
- Ensure work area is clean and clear of standing water, debris or any objects that can obstruct the job duties from being performed safely, efficiently and effectively.
Qualifications:
- Good communication skills both written and verbal
- Enthusiastic and friendly with a positive attitude
- Must have previous food and beverage experience in fine dining or hotel
- Room Service experience is preferred
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including AM & PM shifts, weekends and holidays
- Minimum high school diploma
- Must have TIPS Certification & food certification.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- Candidates must be able to speak fluent English
