Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager to lead our team in a fast-paced food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing daily operations, ensuring food safety, and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. The Manager will be responsible for overseeing staff training, inventory control, and budget management while fostering a positive work atmosphere. Duties Oversee daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring smooth service and adherence to quality standards. Manage food preparation processes, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations. Utilize POS systems such as Aloha or Micros for efficient cash handling and order management. Conduct staff training and development programs to enhance team performance and customer service skills. Supervise kitchen staff, including scheduling shifts and delegating tasks effectively. Monitor inventory levels, placing orders as necessary to maintain stock while controlling costs. Implement effective budgeting strategies to optimize operational efficiency. Foster a positive dining experience by maintaining high standards in hospitality and customer service. Lead by example in all aspects of restaurant management, including cooking when necessary. Ensure compliance with health regulations and maintain cleanliness throughout the establishment. Qualifications Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the food industry. Strong knowledge of food handling practices, culinary techniques, and kitchen management. Experience with inventory control and budgeting in a food service environment. Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff effectively. Familiarity with various POS systems (Aloha POS, Micros POS) is preferred. Background in fine dining or casual dining environments is advantageous. Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Experience in training & development, interviewing, and team management is essential. Knowledge of food production techniques, catering services, banquet experience, and bar operations is a plus.
