Job Summary The Team Lead at Shawnee Springs Market is responsible for opening or closing the retail store and working in any assigned department, including retail, deli, bakery, or farm market. Full-Time, Hourly Job Requirements Provide assistance to the Store Manager overseeing both the farm market and retail market. Unlock and lock doors at the start and end of the shift as scheduled, ensuring the building is secure. Set up, count, and balance register drawers and the safe for opening and closing at the Cross Junction location. Work in any department as needed, including food service, gas, grocery, produce, beer/wine, dairy, deli, lottery, farm market, and grocery non-edible. Support and enforce policies and procedures established by the Store Manager and Corporate Operations. Communicate daily tasks to team members as applicable. Assist the Store Manager in ensuring all assigned tasks are completed thoroughly by the team. Ensure the highest level of customer service by supporting staff at the register, deli, farm market, and bakery. Assist in maintaining production standards at the farm market, deli, and bakery according to PAR sheets. Work with the team to ensure: Sales floor is neat and organize Product levels are appropriate for the day Grocery shelves are stocked, clean, and orderly Beverage coolers are stocked and cleaned Restock the bake table and self-serve deli case using FIFO (First In, First Out) methods. Ensure the cleaning list is completed promptly, verifying tasks before staff leave, and lead by example. Promote corporate management philosophy when dealing with the public and personnel in a respectful, polite manner. Maintain positive working relationships with Shawnee Springs personnel and vendors. Assist with cross-training all staff in all departments according to company standards. Report to work on time in all weather conditions. Remain available on-call for emergencies or operational needs. Perform other duties as assigned by the Store Manager or Corporate Operations to ensure successful store operations. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to prioritize tasks and support team members. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective customer service and staff coordination. Ability to adapt across departments and cross-train staff. Attention to detail in enforcing policies, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring operational standards. Dependability to work varied shifts and weather conditions while setting a positive example. Additional Qualifications High School diploma or GED. Minimum two years of retail experience, preferably in a convenience store environment. Capability to lift or move 50+ lbs. unassisted.
