School Nutrition Services Cooperative is seeking a collaborative, energetic, and organized School Nutrition Assistant Manager to help lead our school nutrition program. Working alongside the School Nutrition Manager, you'll play a key role in providing nutritious, appealing meals to students while helping oversee kitchen operations, supervising staff, maintaining food safety standards, and ensuring compliance with state and federal nutrition program requirements. What You'll Do- Assist with the daily leadership and operation of the school nutrition program.
- Supervise, train, schedule, and support nutrition staff.
- Help oversee food production, meal service, and customer service.
- Maintain food safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance.
- Assist with menu planning, inventory management, purchasing, and production records.
- Manage cash handling and daily financial records.
- Promote teamwork, continuous improvement, and a positive work environment.
- Support student wellness initiatives, nutrition education, and healthy eating programs.
- Assume responsibility for kitchen operations in the absence of the School Nutrition Manager.
