The French Bakery About Us The French Bakery is a locally owned bakery and café dedicated to creating memorable experiences through exceptional coffee, handcrafted pastries, artisan breads, cakes, and outstanding customer service. We are looking for a motivated and dependable Shift Lead (Person in Charge) to help lead our team and ensure smooth daily operations. Position Summary As a Shift Lead (Person in Charge - PIC), you will serve as a leader on duty and a brand ambassador for The French Bakery. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences, supporting team members, maintaining operational standards, and ensuring the bakery runs efficiently during your shift. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, organized, energetic, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Deliver exceptional customer service and create a welcoming experience for every guest. Serve as the leader on duty and support team members throughout the shift. Maintain knowledge of all bakery products, beverages, and menu offerings. Accurately process orders, operate the POS system, and ensure order accuracy. Answer customer inquiries in person, by phone, and via email. Resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently. Stock, organize, and maintain attractive product displays. Ensure cleanliness, food safety, and operational standards are consistently met. Assist with opening and closing procedures. Support bakers, baristas, and kitchen staff as needed. Receive deliveries, stock supplies, and help maintain inventory levels. Foster a positive, team-oriented environment and lead by example.
