11 per hour. The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role. Job offers are determined based on a candidate's years of relevant experience, applicable education and internal equity. EvergreenHealth Monroe, a small semi-rural acute care hospital has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced RN Shift Coordinator to fill a position in our Emergency Room Department Unit. JOB SUMMARY
of
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Adheres to all hospital Policies and Procedures and Philosophy of Care. Consistently exhibits professional conduct that is a behavior-based expression of the hospital's Standards of Excellence. Assists with the development of patient care standards, orientation, and continuing education. Evaluates staff performance in accordance with organizational policies. Participates in nursing Quality Improvement. Maintains unit administration including scheduling and maintenance of supplies and equipment. Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient's age-specific needs and provide age-specific treatment and care.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE

CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, and current Washington State Registered Nurse (RN) license. Requires current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification, Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within six months of hire date or transfer date of internal applicants. Minimum of 3 years acute nursing experience with demonstrated leadership skills. Requires NIHSS Stroke Certification within 90 days of hire date.
SPECIAL EQUIPMENT, SKILLS, OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Capable organizational ability and leadership skills. Demonstrated clinical nursing skills across the life span. Knowledge and ability to apply current theories, techniques, and practices of nursing within his/her specialty area. Competent cardiac monitoring skills, including use of equipment. Critical thinking skills in the planning and administration of department resources.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND HAZARDS
Hazards include risk of exposure to communicable disease and risk of injury from lifting patients and operation of equipment.
WORK CONTACT GROUP
All patient-related hospital departments, patients, families, visitors, nursing personnel, and medical staff.
SPECIAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, lift and transport patients. Must be able to bend, stoop, push and pull. Walks and stands for most of the working day.
